My DIY Planner

Hello!
This is my first post :)
And I wanted to show you my planner.

I made this planner myself. It is my very fist leather project and it was a lot of fun.
The reason why I made this planner is because I really love all the leather Filofax and Van der Spek planners, but I simply could not afford one so I made one myself  :D

I believe my planner is made from buffalo leather and it is really soft and supple

I used Gütermann Extra Strong M782 to stitch it all together. I STITCHED my planner completely BY HAND! I did not use a machine at all so I am very proud of myself.

I wanted to have two pockets, a large full sized pocket and a secretarial pocket. The secretarial pocket is made of a piece of the leather that was already shaped like this so it has a nice natural look.

I used two different types of leather for the outside and the inside.
On the outside I have a smooth leather and on the inside a little bit rougher leather. And then for a nice effect I used the leather of the outside for the inside pockets and the leather of the inside is also used for the closure strap.

I used rivets to put in the rings and I have an magnetic closure. I also added one elastic pen loop on the inside of the closure.

Inside I have rings with a diameter of 30mm (outside) and 26mm (inside).
So I can fit a lot inside :)

All in all I am really happy with the result.

(the pen case is from Liam's and the fountain pen holder on the inside of the planner is also made by me)
